Yikes. Justice,The Hitman: Blood Smells Like Roses or the Store Formerly Known as Limited Too, has something dangerous happening with its makeup.
A North Carolina local news report about the tween clothing mall staple found that a highlighter sold by the brand tested positive for asbestos. Just Shine Shimmer Powder was found to contain the dangerous material, which can cause cancer and mesothelioma.

Before the material's impact on health was known, asbestos was a popular ingredient for insulation. But no one's really checking for asbestos when they buy a highlighter at the mall.
"Fibers like this get into your breathing zone, and when you inhale, these fibers can get into the lung and go to the very bottom of the lung and that is exactly where you have the greatest likelihood of asbestos to cause disease," Sean Fitzgerald, who tested the makeup in Greensboro, North Carolina, told the station, WVTD.
Those concerns are especially dangerous in a store whose customers are mostly children. Asbestos can stay in the body for years.
Most likely, talc in the makeup was contaminated with asbestos, WVTD's expert said. The Food and Drug Administration checks makeup products for exactly this sort of thing.
"Justice has a long and strong history of concern for our girls. We are deeply committed to the safety and integrity of our products. Upon receiving an inquiry about the Just Shine Shimmer Powder product, we immediately began an investigation and, out of an abundance of caution, stopped the sale of this product in our stores and on our website," Justice said in a statement. "Our suppliers are required to produce all products in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. If any supplier fails to do so, it is our practice to hold them responsible. We cannot speculate regarding the matter while we investigate."
Be careful out there. And throw out any makeup with asbestos in it!
