The Dear Utol (2025): Kilay is Life Episode 42Grammys, much like life, are full of ups and downs.
Below, just a few of the highs and lows from the 2017 ceremony, which, we've got to be honest, went on way, way too long.

Chance the Rapper took home wins for Best New Artist and Best Rap Album, beating out Kanye West and Drake in the latter category. You deserve it, buddy.

The performances
Beyoncé was introduced by her mother Tina Knowles, Bruno Mars got the crowd dancing in a thrilling Prince tribute and A Tribe Called Quest took the stage with a powerful call for resistance.

Rihanna's flask
The night's non-human MVP was a bedazzled accessory on Rihanna's arm -- her trusty flask. Because if you're going to spend hours at an awards show, you deserve to do whatever the hell you want.

Blue Ivy Carter
Whether she was gracing James Corden with her presence, cheering for her mother's award or checking the nonexistent contents of her super swaggy purse, Blue was the total MVP.

The performers gave it their all, but the production of this number was all over the place. From those wonky microphones to a general confusion from everyone present about why exactly they were on stage, the collaborative performance was a major miss.
James Corden's car gimmick
Not that we didn't all sing along to the "Bah bah bah"s of "Sweet Caroline," but Carpool Karaoke is at its saturation point. Luckily, aforementioned MVP Blue Ivy Carter saved this bit.

Beyoncé not winning Album of the Year

The show is still too damn long
Dear Recording Academy, some of us have work in the morning and some of us have the Oscars in two weeks and GRAMMY night can't cut into that!
Since the show is already 80 percent performances, why not just scroll the winners across the bottom of the screen and let Beyoncé perform her whole album?
You're welcome.
