Armie Hammer's emotionally revealing performance in Call Me By Your Namealmost turned into a physically revealing one as well.
In an interview with Andy Cohen on Bad Intention (2020) Hindi Web SeriesSiriusXM, Hammer revealed that the short-shorts he wears in the movie turned out to be a little bit tooshort.

Director Luca Guadagnino backed up his story. "I had to remove [them] digitally," he said.
Hammer and his co-star Michael Stuhlbarg jokingly added that those images weren't completely lost – just inserted elsewhere into the film. "If you look carefully at all the trees, it's not all peaches," laughed Hammer.
In the end, Call Me By Your Namenever got more explicit than a few bare-butt shots – there's no full-frontal nudity in the film.
But the atmosphere on set was a different story. Speaking to USA Today, Hammer and Timothée Chalamet said they got pretty comfortable getting naked.
"By the time it got to the point where we had maybe a few days of being nude, they would call 'cut' and someone would come and go, 'Do you want a robe?'" Hammer recalled. "I'd be like, 'No, I'm fine, I'm sure we'll be shooting again in a second,' and you just sit there in bed naked together."
If Call Me By Your Namehas opened up a whole new level of praise and fame for Hammer, though, it's also exposed him to sharper criticism – as Hammer's been discovering the hard way.
This week, Hammer deleted his Twitter account after calling a Buzzfeedarticle "bitter af." The story in question traced Hammer's career trajectory over the past decade, analyzing his privilege and his evolving public image.
It's a shame, because Hammer's social-media presence has been one of the most charming things about him, whether he's dragging James Woods or favoriting NSFW BDSM content.
But it's tough to blame the guy for feeling a bit over-exposed these days. And since real life doesn't come with VFX post-production wizards to make sure all your private bits stay private, stepping back from Twitter might be the next best thing.
