Southwest has made waves in recent weeks, but booking today during this sale means you can ignore that news. Last month, Southwest dropped the news that it's eliminating the policy that all bookings come with two free checked bags. But the slightly good news is that this policy doesn't take hold until the end of May. That means booking today's sale will ensure you still get the two free checked bags.

Like all airline sales, there's some fine print to pay attention to. This sale only applies to bookings that are at least 21 days away, meaning when you book today, you'll need to travel on April 28 or later. The discount also only applies to the base fare, not those fun fees, taxes, and airport charges.
