When it comes to gift-giving in relationships,Korea Archives sometimes it really is the thought that counts. Some people love to be spoiled, while others appreciate the simple things.
Jailyn and her boyfriend Jamarcus have been dating for almost a year, and that's about the time to start getting creative with gifts. When Jailyn received a "flower" from Jamarcus just because, she got something a little less flowery and a little more salad-y.
Jailyn tweeted this picture of the sweet gift:

After a closer look, we think this "lettuce" is actually purple kale, but either way, it's not a flower.
"I was sleeping and he woke me up by knocking on my window. I went to go open the door and he had the lettuce in his hand with a big smile," Jailyn said of her boyfriend's surprise. "I just started laughing so much. After, I hugged and kissed him. He didn't [know] what it was until I told him it was lettuce. My mom was right by the door and she was laughing, too, but she also thought it was cute."
Poor Jamarcus was confused to say the least. Jailyn said he "was lost and he was laughing so much because he really thought it was a flower from a fruit."
"He got it from his job at a warehouse," she explained. "He didn't know any better but to think it was a flower, but that's what made it really funny."
He must've done something right because commenters thought the gift was super cute and thoughtful.
