Who knew the seeds of the revolution would not be Hong Kong Archivessewn in shady, dark backrooms but in a Facebook group called "Addicted To Knitting?"
A tweet from a knitting enthusiast-cum-political rebel named Elsie Hay Cook has gone viral, rallying social media against the "short-fingered vulgarian," Donald Trump.

The post picked up considerable traction on the site, but things really blew up when Twitter user @Francesca_Crit shared a screenshot.

Ooft. Trump is, of course, particularly sensitive about his hands, so consider this a savage burn.
Cook, who according to her Facebook page is a former teacher, cemented her reputation as a true bad ass in an interview Vocativwhere she revealed her post broke the knitting group's bipartisan rules.
"Addicted is NOT a place for political posts,” she told the site. "I guess I broke the rules, although I did not mention politics."
That's knitters for you. They're rebels that don't care about anything. Not the feelings of the most powerful man in the world, and certainlynot the feelings of Facebook page administrators.
Mashable has reached out to Elsie Hay Cook for comment.
