Kanye West cut his headlining set at The Blonde | Adult Movies OnlineMeadows festival in New York City short on Sunday night after his wife, Kim Kardashian West, was reportedly held at gunpoint by armed robbers in Paris.
The rapper was in the middle of performing "Heartless" when he was pulled to the side of the stage. West apologized to the crowd and exited the stage, "I'm sorry, family emergency. I have to stop the show."

According to CNN, West's wife, Kardashian West, was robbed at gunpoint in her hotel in Paris, where she was staying during fashion week.
"Kim Kardashian West was held up at gunpoint inside her Paris hotel room this evening, by two armed masked men dressed as police officers," Kardashian West spokesperson Ina Treciokas told CNN in a statement. "She is badly shaken but physically unharmed."
The announcement confused festival attendees, many of whom couldn't hear West's initial announcement or could only hear part of it. The rapper had previously stopped and re-started songs in the set, which is not uncommon for West, adding to the confusion.
A staff member of the festival originally announced a ten-minute intermission during the show. Shortly after, he announced that the festival was over and West had exited the premises. West was the final act of the festival, which took place on Oct. 1-2 in Queens, New York.
The Meadows Festival released the following statement:
Due to a family emergency, Kanye West was forced to end his performance towards the end of his set. We appreciate the great show he put on for fans to close out the inaugural Meadows Festival. Our thoughts are with West and his family.
This was the inaugural year for the Meadows Festival, also headlined by Chance the Rapper and J. Cole, which was created after West's set at the 2015 Governors Ball was cancelled due to bad weather.
