Hurricane Matthew has pounded the vulnerable nation of Haiti,Rebekka Armstrong Archives dealt a fierce blow to eastern Cuba, and it is about to unleash a fusillade of rain and wind on much of the Bahamas during the next two days.
To meteorologists following the storm's track and trying to predict its next moves, it has varied its looks from downright menacing to surreally gorgeous.
