Does John seem a little dejected to you?
Although he was not nominated at this year's Oscars, he did win the Oscar for Best Original Song in 2015 for the song "Glory" from the movie Selma. But, as Chrissy makes extremely clear...Not.This.Year.
She made it her mission to make sure everyone was on the same page. She even stopped a Hollywood tour bus full of strangers to let them know that she was sitting next to an Oscar loser.

Just another one of Chrissy's antics that John has no choice but to put up with, although this behavior is very "on brand" for them anyway. They don't seem too broken up about coming home Oscar-less this year. After all, Chrissy didn't look fazed when she seemingly fell asleep during the ceremony.
We're sure we'll see plenty more shenanigans from these two before the next Oscars, but awards season is definitely where Chrissy and John hit peak Chrissy and John.
