The UN's human rights office said Syrian pro-government forces have been entering homes in eastern Aleppo and killing civilians inside, including women and children. At a news conference in Geneva, Colville said his office had received reports of 82 civilians reportedly shot, including 11 women and 13 children.
A pro-regime source denied these allegations.
Around 100,000 people are believed to be trapped inside a small area of the city.
