With less than a dozen episodes left to go,Detective Archives Game of Throneshas started to wrap things up. That means storylines are being consolidated, loose ends are being tied up, journeys are coming full circle ... and characters are coming together again.
SEE ALSO: That 'Game of Thrones' Stark family reunion had the internet 😭 😭 😭Some of these recent reunions have been bittersweet, or even just sweet-sweet. Others have been awkward as hell. And still others haven't come to pass quite yet. Below, 11 reunions we're still waiting to see happen – and where the characters were when they last saw each other.
Last onscreen interaction:"No One" (Season 6, episode 8)
Okay, so it hasn't been that long since these two last saw each other. But can you blame us for wanting a reunion ASAP? Unlike basically every other pairing in Game of Thrones, these two really bring out the best in each other.
Plus, their last encounter was pretty heartbreaking. After all these mismatched BFFs have been through, they found themselves on opposite sides of the siege at Riverrun, facing the very real possibility of taking up arms against each other.
It hasn't come to that yet, thankfully – though knowing this show, it's probably coming. Instead, Jaime and Brienne silently waved to each other as the latter slipped away in the dead of the night.

SEE ALSO: Jaime Lannister reveals his soulmate—and it's not CerseiLast onscreen interaction:"The Children" (Season 4, episode 10)
After spending an entire season as traveling companions, Arya stole the Hound's money and left him to die from the wounds he sustained in his duel against Brienne – this despite the Hound begging and goading her to grant him the mercy of a swift death. Boy, is she in for a surprise when she discovers he's survived.

SEE ALSO: Let's talk about the Hound's big moment in the 'Game of Thrones' Season 7 premiereLast onscreen interaction:"The Laws of Gods and Men" (Season 4, episode 6)
Cersei hasn't seen Tyrion since his outburst at his trial for Joffrey's murder, and absence most definitely has not made her heart grow fonder. Not even Jaime's reveal of Olenna's last words have lessened Cersei's hatred of Tyrion.
Then there's the matter of that prophecy. In the books, Maggy told a young Cersei that "the valonqar shall wrap his hands around your pale white throat and choke the life from you." "Valonqar" is Valyrian for little brother, so for years fans have wondered whether Tyrion or Jaime could be the one to do the deed.

Last onscreen interaction:"The Lion and the Rose" (Season 4, episode 2)
What a way to end a marriage. Sansa and Tyrion haven't laid eyes on each other since the Purple Wedding, when, following Joffrey's death, Sansa was promptly whisked away by Dontos and Tyrion was just as swiftly taken into custody.
Neither side really seems to hold a grudge against each other at this point, and if the Targaryen-Stark alliance comes through, the former newlyweds could find themselves on the same side of the war. They might even discover a newfound respect for one another.

Last onscreen interaction:"The Climb" (Season 3, episode 6)
Sometimes it feels as if the entirety of Game of Thronesis just one long elaborate chess game between Littlefinger and Varys – but the master manipulators haven't confronted each other head-on for a few seasons now. Their last exchange gave us the "chaos is a ladder" speech that Bran recently referenced in his conversation with Littlefinger.
Since then, both sides have spent time traveling around and continuing to pull the strings that no one else seems able to see. Eventually, we expect, they'll have to meet again to compare notes.

Last onscreen interaction:"The Climb" (Season 3, episode 6)
Oh, Gendry, the guy who singlehandedly put Arya through puberty by strutting shirtless around Harrenhall.
Not long after that memorable incident, the two friends were separated by Melisandre. The Brotherhood Without Banners turned Gendry over to her, and Arya, in turn, ran away from Brotherhood. But with Arya now up at Winterfell and Gendry hanging with her brother-cousin north of the Wall, the two could be headed for an unexpected reunion.

Last onscreen interaction:"The Climb" (Season 3, episode 6)
Honestly, I don't know whywe continue to believe Melisandre's enigmatic predictions when she was so completely dead wrong about Stannis. But for some reason, we do. And while Melisandre's conversation with Arya was brief, she did promise they'd meet again. To which we say:
How excited are we for their reunion?🤔🤔 out of 5
Last onscreen interaction:"Blackwater" (Season 2, episode 9)
In some alternate universe, Sansa went on the run with her unlikely protector during the Battle of the Blackwater. In this universe, she declined his offer to take her away, and instead stuck around King's Landing long enough to get married off to Tyrion and see Joffrey die. He left for the countryside and ran into her sister.
If Sansa and the Hound ever meet again – and at this point, that's not a guarantee – we predict a five-hanky tearjerker of a reunion.

Last onscreen interaction:"The Wolf and the Lion" (Season 1, episode 5)
Most of what makes Cleganebowl (the much-speculated-about clash between Sandor and Gregor) such an intriguing prospect is all the stuff that's happened between the brothers offscreen, long before we met either of them.
Long story short, Gregor abused Sandor growing up and gave him the burn that covers half his face. Sandor grew hard and mean under all this torment, though he's still a nicer guy than his brother.
Case in point: when we last saw them interact at the Tourney of the Hand, Gregor attacked Loras for unhorsing him during the joust, and Sandor stepped in to intervene.
Since then, Gregor's only grown more monstrous – literally; he's some kind of zombie now – while Sandor seems to be on his way to some small measure of redemption. When the brothers Clegane finally throw down, it'll look like a battle of good against evil.

Last onscreen interaction:"Lord Snow" (Season 1, episode 3)
Remember Benjen? He was Ned Stark's brother, the uncle Jon joined up at the Night's Watch in the first season. Not long after Jon's arrival, Benjen headed north of the Wall as part of a ranging party. His horse returned, but Benjen did not. As far as Jon knows, Benjen's probably dead.
We, however, know Benjen's still ... well, not alive, exactly, but not dead either. Benjen was the one who rescued Bran and Meera when they were attacked by White Walkers in Season 6, explaining that the Three-Eyed Raven had sent him to help.

Last onscreen interaction:"The Kingsroad" (Season 1, episode 2)
Really their last interaction was in the series premiere, since Bran's still comatose when Jon says goodbye before heading to the Wall.
Unbeknownst to Jon, Bran actually has seen Jon since then – Bran spotted Jon at Craster's Keep back in Season 4. At the time, though, Jojen talked Bran out of approaching Jon, warning that such an encounter would derail Bran from his quest to meet the Three-Eyed Raven.
Which is probably just as well. Not long after that, the Three-Eyed Raven showed Bran the truth of Jon's parentage. These two are going to have a lot to talk about when Jon returns to Winterfell. And since tact isn't exactly Bran's strong suit these days, we can only imagine how awkward it's going to be.

Last onscreen interaction:"The Kingsroad" (Season 1, episode 2)
Of all the Stark kids, Arya and Jon were the closest. He's the one who gifted her with Needle, which she wields to this day, and gave her the invaluable advice to "stick them with the pointy end."
Which made it all the more painful when Arya arrived at Winterfell a couple of episodes ago, only to hear she'd just barelymissed Jon. And now Arya seems to be picking sides in what she believes is a growing divide between Jon and Sansa. Ugh, can't these Stark kids at least pretendto get along for a few minutes so we can be glad they've reunited?
How excited are we for their reunion?😃😟😭😰 out of 5
Last onscreen interaction:"Winter Is Coming" (Season 1, episode 1)
Jaime and Bran might not sound like a particularly compelling pairing, since the two never had much of a relationship to begin with. But theirs is the fateful encounter that started it all. Had Jaime never shoved Bran out that window, the Starks and Lannisters may never have gone to war.
Now, as we approach the end of the series, what better way to bring everything full circle than by having Jaime and Bran meet again? Maybe this time, Bran can shove Jaime out a window.
