But instead of actually exploring those stories, much of the media -- including TV networks -- chose to focus their attention on Kanye's visit to Trump Towers. Nothing could be more of a distraction, and Trevor Noah on The Daily Showexplained the media's failure uniquely well.
"Oh, man! The media is the best,” Noah said. “It really makes you wonder how America ended up selecting a celebrity president when the media is so focusedon the issues."
