Thor: Ragnarokdoesn't just bring back Thor,Yuna Ogura is Opened Up By A Train Thief Who Comes To Her House (2025) Loki, and Odin – it also brings in brand-new versions of them, in the form of actors playing the trio in a stage show.
And you'll probably notice that they look familiar, even if you're not exactly a connoisseur of Asgardian theater.
SEE ALSO: Matt Damon makes the most strange appearance on 'Kimmel'The new Thor, Loki, and Odin show up early in the movie, when Odin (or rather, Loki pretending to be Odin) enjoys a play that recaps certain events from Thor: The Dark Worldfrom Loki's warped perspective.
In this telling of the story, Loki is played by Matt Damon in a terrible black wig that's still no worse than the wig they actually put on Tom Hiddleston's head.
Yep, turns out Damon wasn't really interrupting the Thor: Ragnarokcast during their Jimmy Kimmelinterview – he was actually part of that cast all along.
Thor, meanwhile, is played by a dude who looks a lotlike the Thor we already know and love. There's a good reason for that – the actor is none other than Chris Hemsworth's brother, Luke Hemsworth of HBO's Westworld.
(As an aside, this means all three Hemsworth brothers have played at being the God of Thunder – Liam and Chris were up against each other for the lead when the first Thorwas casting.)
Finally, the role of Odin is filled by Sam Neill, who starred in Taika Waititi's Hunt for the Wilderpeople. Technically, this makes Thor: Ragnaroka Jurassic Parkreunion – though sadly, we don't actually get Neill and Jeff Goldblum onscreen at the same time in this one.
