LOS ANGELES -- A month and Watch Sukeban Deka the Movie 2: Countera half of shooting. A handful of different locations. Seventeen days of work for actor Evan Peters.
"The most complex sequence" in the entirety of X-Men: Apocalypse, according to screenwriter Simon Kinberg.
All for less than one second of real-time action.
But that's how it is in "Quicksilver Time," which is what the Apocalypse filmmakers call the super slo-mo, awesomely nonchalant way that Peter Maximoff (Peters) goes about his heroic business.
In this behind-the-scenes clip (below), shared exclusively with Mashableand available on the upcoming disc's extras, we get a more real-time look at the making of the sequence that lasted all of 30 seconds in the film.
X-Men Apocalypsehas been available on Digital HD since Sept. 9 and is coming to Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD and DVD on Oct. 4.
Additional goodies on the disc include deleted scenes, a gag reel, a video of the wrap party (how great would thatbe to see in Quicksilver Time?) and more commentary than you could hope to take in even if you could slow down time.
