In a single,Mystery Archives Sunday morning tweet, Donald Trump stooped to the level of perennial Veeploser, Jonah Ryan.
Armando Iannucci, creator of the hit HBO series and a U.K. native, took to Twitter after 45 directed a misleading tweet at the Mayor of London in the aftermath of Saturday evening's terror attacks. Iannucci's sage advice? "Sit the shit down and shut the shit up."

Rowling, and others on Sunday morning when he subtweeted derisively at Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London. Khan is on Twitter (@SadiqKhan), but Trump couldn't be troubled to address him directly -- whether out of ignorance or plain, old cowardice

The problem with Trump's tweet -- as many have now pointed out -- is simple: it's misleading. The mayor's full quote, as CNN's Brian Stelter pointed out on Twitter, went: "Londoners will see an increased police presence today and over the course of the next few days. No reason to be alarmed."
In other words, Trump twisted the meaning. Khan's words of reassurance were meant to assuage worries over the sight of more police on the streets. He wasn't, as Trump implied, minimizing the need for concern over terrorism in general.
Iannucci wasn't having it. The anger in his response, tweeted only a couple of hours later, is impossible to miss.
